Abstract
Wegener’s granulomotosis is a necrotising granulomatous vasculitic disease that especially involves upper and lower respiratory tract and kidney. Its incidence is rare and there is not any literature with many cases about its incidence and course in Turkey and in Turkish people. For these purpose, we investigated the characteristics of nine Wegener’s granulomatosis cases from published data in Turkey with those of our two current cases of 15 and 33 years of age respectively. While the first case was a limited form, the second case was of disseminated form. The first case was diagnosed based on clinical and pathological findings, however the diagnosis for the second case was set following the combination of clinical and pathological findings and also the presence of c-ANCA positivity. The first case was out of control and the second case is in remission and being followed up to present.
