Abstract

Experimental investigations are the first step in new developments in medicine today. Nobel medicine awards are given primarily for advances in experimental studies. The development of many drugs and medical devices would not be possible without experimental studies. However, this was not well understood in many developing countries including Turkey. In this article, we discuss why experimental investigations are important.
