Abstract
Current advances in computer technology have yielded virtual endobronchial images of the tracheobronchial tree using data sets from thin-section spiral CT. Proposed uses of virtual bronchoscopy mainly include the evaluation of endobronchial lesions or airway stenosis and guiding bronchoscopy. In this paper, the technique methods, the role of this procedure in diagnosis of the tracheobronchial pathologies and the comparison with fiberoptic bronchoscopy are discussed.
