Abstract

Sequelae of lower respiratory tract infections are among the major etiological factors of morbidity and mortality in patients from childhood to adulthood. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment of these sequelae can be effective for improving the prognosis and the long-term quality of life. In this review, an up-to-date information on empyema, lung abscesses, bronchiolitis obliterans and bronchiectasis is presented.
