Abstract

Delays in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer is a common problem. Delays may be classified as patient’s and doctor’s delays. Doctor’s delay includes referral, diagnostic and treatment delays. Many studies indicated that delays may have negative effect on tumor stage and prognosis of lung cancer. In this paper, the causes, results and precautions for delays were discussed.
