Abstract

Nontraumatic chylothorax although rarely seen can be developed as a result of several causes. One of them is tuberculosis. Smear of pleural effusion was negative but Mycobacterium Tuberculosis produced in the culture of the effusion of 22 years old female who didn’t have intrathoracic anomaly other than chylothorax. The case is evaluated as chylothorax due to M. Tuberculosis is presented with the literature which is rarely seen.
