Abstract

Abstract

Yellow nail syndrome (YNS) is a rare clinical condition, which is characterized by the triad of yellowish nail changes, lenfangioedema and pleural effusion. These patients with YNS are usually referred to pulmonary physicians not only for pleural effusion but also for recurrent respiratory tract infections, bronchiectasis, sinusitis, pleuritis and pneumonia. Here we report a case with YNS who admitted to our department with pleural effusion. Diagnosis of YNS was made with the presence of yellowish nail changes in addition to the pleural effusion.
