Abstract

There are several kinds of tick-born diseases. Lyme disease, riketsial spotted fever and ehrlichiosis common tickborn diseases with rare pulmonary involvement. Our case, 73-year-old, applied to our department with the complaints of cough, fever, lethargy, weakness, anorexia, headache, nausea, vomiting. On physical examination there were petechial maculopapular rashes all over the body. After finding the tick attached inside on her right thight she was thought to be a tick-borne disease clinically and radiologically. It was difficult to state the diagnosis with serology at laboratuary conditions in our country. The tick-born dieases with rare pulmonary involvement and our laboratory limitations in order to state the diagnosis are discussed with this patient on the light of the literature.
