Abstract

Abstract

Acute pseudoinfectious pneumonia develops after volatile hydrocarbon such as spirit, kerosene aspiration. 25-yr-old man was admitted to the hospital because of cough, dyspnea and fever. He reported that symtoms had occured after fire eaters show. He blows out a mouthful of kerosene against a burning stick. P.A chest roentgenogram demonstrated bilateral basal lung consolidations. CT scan of the chest revealed multipl bileteral abscess like consolidations which contains air,air bronchograms, necrosis and contrast-enhanced walls. After therapy with antibiotics for 20 days clinical and radiographical findings improved. After 4 monts followup chest roentgenogram showed residual minimal lesions.
