Abstract

Abstract

Despite its poor efficacy, theophylline, which is a methylxanthine derivative, is being commonly used for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) worldwide for many years due to its low cost. This drug with bronchodilator activity must be carefully used in the elderly. In this case report, we want to share our experience with a patient who developed partial epilepsy during intravenous theophylline application.
